Our Pearl Harbor Remembrance Ceremony was conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 12173 at Viking Yacht. In attendance was VFW State Commander Luddie Austin, Past State Commander Barbara Kim-Hagemann, a resident of Tuckerton, and Andy Jackson, American Legion Ocean County Commander.
Fostering patriotism and honoring America's veterans, whether for Independence Day, Veterans Day or Pearl Harbor Remembrance, is at the heart of our philosophical core. Public commemorations hosted by VFW Posts worldwide cultivate an appreciation of both the responsibilities and benefits of being an American.
The wreath presentation was conducted by Post Commander Matt Roth, the grandson of Pearl Harbor survivor U.S Navy Yeoman Second Class Thomas Eugene Roth, and Robert Healey, Jr, Executive Co-Chairman at the Viking Group and head of the Healy International Relief Organization, which has delivered healthcare services, food, clean water, and education programs in war-torn Sierra Leone.
The VFW is proud to have partnered with Viking Yacht and it’s veteran employees to remember our fallen and commemorate the sacrifices and heroics of the American Veteran.
